Koscom resolved to strengthen Purchasing Ethics

Koscom, a leading IT solution provider, announced  on May 24 that the announcement ceremony for reinforcement of purchasing ethics took place with  executives and staff members in attendance. And it would implement an advanced purchasing plan.

Koscom has made a lot of development with annual sales of 25 billion won since it was established as Korea Securities Computing Corporation specialized in IT business of capital market and designed as other public institution in 2007. The plan was designed to take a preemptive measure for 'Managerial Regulation on Contracts of other public institution' scheduled to be implemented from July 1.

Under the plan, Koscom will steadily carry out nine detailed assignments such as acting as a purchasing agency for wasting stuff, establishing e-contract system and intensive management of purchasing managers, which are selected from the three main theme of outsourcing general purchase business, introduction of escrow system and eradication of private contract.

Koscom CEO Kim, Kwang Hyun stated, "As a public institution, we need to pay more attention on purchasing ethics as our business is getting bigger. I believe that the advanced purchasing plan will serve to improve our image by strengthening fairness and transparency of purchasing business in addition to reduce total purchase cost.

With reinforcement of purchasing ethics, the purchasing process is expected to be more transparent. Moreover, computer equipment service providers and partners of Koscom will also get benefits.

Koscom has prepared to introduce the purchasing plan for the fairness and efficiency of purchasing system by launching SCM(Supply Chain Management) TF team with Jung, Jae Dong, an auditor of Koscom as the central figure in March. (The End)
