Koscom launched a CME-linked wireless nighttime futures quotations service

A CME-linked wireless nighttime futures quotations service will be launched.

Koscom announced on April 26 that it would provide a CME-linked wireless nighttime futures quotations service, the first of its kind in Korea, through WAP service of Woori Investment&Securities, Meritz Securities and NH Investment&Securities, which are users of Koscom's VARO service.

Based on the service, customers who have an account in Woori Investment&Securities, Meritz Securities and NH Investment&Securities can check CME-linked nighttime futures quotations through WAP service even after the Exchange market is closed.

Koscom is scheduled to provide the same service to 13 internet portals in partnership with VARO service in the near future. In the second half of the year, it plans to offer trading service for the issues of nighttime futures market.

Furthermore, Koscom expects to launch VARO service through smartphones like iphone and android phone from May as well as to extend ELW trading and bank transfer services in the frist half on a gradual basis.

○ VARO(Various Access & Right Order) Service
    - A sort of securities trading brokerage service. Koscom develops client programs and acts as a professional broker between the media such as internet portals and mobile carriers and securities firms, allowing securities firms to secure several media by one connection to Koscom

○ WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)
    - A wireless internet service provided by mobil phone operators through hotkey (The End)
