Koscom launched a smartphone-only virus vaccine, 'AnSim Vaccine Mobile'

Koscom, a leading certificate authority, stated on April 21 that it has launched a 'AnSim Vaccine Mobile', an exclusive virus vaccine for safe securities trading through smartphones.

AnSim Vaccine Mobile, a security solution for smartphones based on AnSim Service, which have provided various security solutions for PCs and USB devices, was created to cope with posing threats of virus and hacking in line with the increase in smartphone users.

The service was developed considering individual operating systems of Window mobile, iphone and android phone. By applying a heuristic engine, a self-analysis and learning engine, programs or files that is not classified as virus but vulnerable to leakage or appropriation of user information can be automatically detected.

Especially, as it can be offered in the type of SDK(Software Development Kit), each securities firms can flexibly operate the system in accordance with the Koscom's smartphone securities trading program. With this notable feature, the service is being widely lauded for its excellence. A supply contract was made with six securities firms such as Woori Investment&Securities, Hanwha Securities, HMC Investment&Securities, etc. even before the service is launched.

Kim, Gwang Yeoul, head of Information Protection department, said, "Besides the vaccine function, AnSim Vaccine Mobile has many other functions such as analysis of smartphone hacking, real time surveillance, automatic analysis of risk files and real time surveillance on external storage media. So, it's very easy and convenient to use." and emphasized, "We will continuously develop various programs such as certification/encryption tool kit and keyboard security solution for smartphones so that our clients can use smartphones more safely and conveniently.

Meanwhile, Koscom has established a strategic alliance with Shiftworks Co.,Ltd(CEO Hong, Min Poyo), a front runner in the field of virus vaccine for smartphones along with Bizet Co.,Ltd(CEO Jang, Gun), a Koscom's existing partner in AnSim service for development and technology assistance of AnSim Vaccine Mobile.
