Koscom accelerated management innovation through the introduction of annual salary system

Koscom held a resolution rally for management innovation on March 10 and said that it would actively carry out management innovation of the company to comply with the government's advancement policy for public institutions.

Koscom decided to introduce a standard model of annual sellary system to strengthen capability and performance-based HR management in addition to implement other measures such as partial elimination and reduction of holidays as well as improvement of overtime working.

At first, the annual salary system will be applied to first and second class employees(about 20%) and it will be expanded to all employees later.

The introduction of annual salary system will help Koscom to motivate its employees by adopting differentiated payment system based on performance as well as to strengthen global competitiveness.

Koscom will draw up detailed action plans for management innovation through an executive workshop and continuously carry out high level of reforms such as expansion of differentiated payment system based on performance.

Meanwhile, Koscom is actively pushing forward the government's advancement policy. It held an 'Announcement Ceremony for an Advanced Labor-Management Relations' on February 4 and agreed on the reduction of union members by 10%, elimination and revision of five articles including some possibilities of union's involvement in management, reduction of payment by 5% and a variety of welfare system such as obligatory use of annual leave.
