Koscom concluded a contract with Hanwha Securities for VARO Service

Koscom(CEO Kim, Kwang Hyun), a leading financial IT solution provider, announced on February 2 that it concluded a contract with Hanwha Securities for VARO (Various Access & Right Order)Service.

With the contract, a total of 24 associate companies including 9 securities firms participated in VARO Service.
 
Major Participants of VARO Service are as below;

- Securities firms(9): Woori Investment, NH Investment, Daewoo, Meritz, Hanyang, SK, Hanwha
- Internet (Portals)(13) : Naver, Nate, Daum, Yahoo, Paran, MSN, SureNet, ThinkPool, Hankyung.com, Hankyung WOW, Digital Chosun, Maeil Business News, Etomato, PSTOCK
- Mobile communications(2) : KTF. LGT

VARO Service, featuring direct order placement to securities firms through internet portals and telecommunication, provides a convenient environment to investors. Also, securities firms can secure several media services for trading by one connection with Koscom.  

Koscom is actively involved in developing various programs. It has already completed a WIPI based securities trading program for touch-phone. Furthermore, Koscom plans to develop other program applying a new highlight, 'Smart phone e-finance services safety measures' by Financial Supervisory Service and provide the service to Microsoft's Windows Mobile, Apple's iPhone, and Google's Android within the first half of the year. It also said that trading and information services for CATV and IPTV are also under development.

In addition, Kosom is expected to extend VARO service to all securities firms by 2011 and to provide a variety of services such as ELW, bank transfer and market dada on KOSPI CME.  (The End)
