Koscom received an 'Award of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism' as the best organization using licensed software product

Koscom(CEO Kim, Kwang Hyun), a leading financial IT solution provider has received an 'Award of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism' at the '2009 Best User of Licensed Software Awards Ceremony' held in the Government Building Management Service in Jongno-gu on December 28.

The award was given to nine institutes after the Korea Copyright Commission of MCST(Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has strictly deliberated the use and management of software, prevention of using illegal software and efforts for using licensed software surveying 1.200 local governments, public institutes, and companies from October 15 to December 3.

Koscom was highly evaluated for its efforts to strictly manage software. It has operated an exclusive department for software management as well as purchased and distributed software according to the asset management and purchasing plan based on the task analysis and the research on demand of employees. Especially, Koscom has increased awareness of the importance of using licensed software by encouraging its employees with the education on a regular basis and prevented the use of illegal software from the beginning by spotting unauthorized installment of software without an approval of the department concerned and the use of authentic software through regular inspection.    

One Koscom official said, "As Koscom has been involved in the financial IT solution business more than 30years, we have recognized the importance of using licensed software. In this regard, we will do our best to eradicate illegal software and establish an outstanding copyright culture by continuously creating a sound environment for the use of authentic software.
