Koscom completed the implementation of PowerBase, newly developed total outsourcing service for securities business

Koscom announced on May 14th that it successfully completed the implementation of 'PowerBase' to its 50 domestic/foreign financial companies.

'PowerBase',  the newly developed total outsourcing service for securities companies, provides basic and fundamental services including all types of ASP services from basic business process to derivatives and asset management, investment information and global trading for nearly around 50 securities/futures firms.

Koscom offers integrated online securities services in order to provide more business opportunities to each financial services company and to proactively respond to the fast-changing financial business environment by strengthening the previous ASP service of 'Base21.'

Koscom first initiated its service to Hanyang Securities after finishing the project in February 2007 and expanded the business to 50 financial institutions involving major domestic securities companies, foreign financial services, futures & asset management firms, insurance companies, and banks which entrust Koscom with general ledger management and mutual fund sales. Finally, Koscom has successfully finished the large-scale project of upgrading the services of all 50 organizations.

Especially, Koscom significantly reduced the development time and costs by developing its own 'PowerFrame' which is a standardized framework of common unit operations of securities businesses.

'PowerBase' greatly enhanced the order/match speed and improved system stability compared with the previous 'Base21.' With its excellent system flexibility, Koscom is able to promptly deal with diversified business environment along with the enforcement of Capital Market Consolidation Act by applying a financial product meta model so that a new product can be launched in time. 

According to Koscom, customers have been very satisfied with the convenience of investment followed by an integrated management of deposit and high order/match speed and Koscom is expected to meet the customers' needs and immediately respond to their request.
