Koscom hands out "Briquettes of Love"

"Briquettes of Love", warming the hearts of the people in need, were delivered this winter.

On November 11, workers from Koscom, which is responsible for the Korean capital market IT infrastructure, visited low-income families in Munrae-dong, Youngdeungpo-gu and did voluntary activities handing out briquettes and rice to make winter season much warmer.

Jung Eui Yeon, Vice president of Koscom, and Kim Eung Seok, President of the Labour Union of Koscom, with about 40 employees of Koscom, visited and delivered 1,800 briquettes and 12 sacks of rice to the underprivileged families in Munrae-dong. They also donated 5,000 briquettes to 'Love Coal Organization'(President Byun Hyung-yoon).

One employee in the event said, "It was a bit challenging to deliver all the briquettes personally because of the cold weather, but I felt such a warm feeling by envisioning these people could live this winter warmer with our help."

Even though struggled relaying briquettes, they had big smiles on their faces.

Meanwhile, Koscom has been helping students in need by giving out 'Dream-tree Scholarships', and its employees also have taken part in volunteer works for social welfare facilities on a monthly basis through a club 'Living together' which they created.
