□ World top white hackers ’real-match’ pre-match of ’SecuInside2013’ will be launched on 24th~26th (3days) for preliminary match.
○ White hacker : Pure purpose of academic and studying for hacking, Aka computer security expert. Penetration testing and report to manager to defence from the black hacker’s offense.
□ 3rd times of competition, organized by Koscom, to campaign and to have attention for the importance of information security. World class of white hackers perform the hacking and defending·tracking to compete and show the advanced technic.
□ Pre-matching subject will be electronic financial service related web·hardware hacking, reverse engineering and else to use diverse knowledge for solving the 20 on-line questions.
○ Major subjects
- ’Web hacking’ to find the weak point of finance company’s web site or web service.
- ’Reverse engineering attacking’ to trace the electronic finance program’s result through the reverse engineering attack.
- ’Hardware hacking’ Hacking the smart phone, smart TV for usage of on-line trading.
□ Manager, information security graduate school of Korea univ. announced "New program for this contest apply the new way, which is based on scenario to clear the connected mission." also mention that "No boundaries for the theme, so it requires overview point of thinking and hacking·defending technic to clear the missions."
□ Top 8 teams from the preliminary will be entered the finals, it will announce on 31th at ’SecuInside 2013’ official web site. (www.secuinside.com)
□ Preliminary registration will be closed on 26th, apply only through the web site.
□ Award is 4500 thousand won, the Korea highest price, winner team for 3000 thousand won, 2nd place for 1000 thousand won, 3rd place for 500 thousand won for international conference registration & researching support fee.
□ Last year, 349 team participated from the nations, ‘PPP(Plaid Parliment of Pwning)’ from Carnegie mellon got won the 1st place.
